Chief Returning Officer (CRO) – By-Election Appointment
The SGA is seeking an enthusiastic and engaged individual to join our team as the Associate Vice President of Student and Community Engagement (AVP-SCE).
The Students' General Association (SGA) is currently accepting applications for the position of Chief Returning Officer (CRO) for the upcoming By-Election.
Following a vacancy in the Vice-President Advocacy position, the SGA will be holding a By-Election to fill the vacancy. The Chief Returning Officer is an appointed position by the SGA Board of Directors and will be responsible for overseeing the administration of the By-Election process in accordance with the SGA Election Policy.
The CRO plays a critical role in ensuring a fair, transparent, and impartial election process by:

Administering the By-Election in accordance with the SGA Election Policy.

Overseeing nominations, campaign activities, and voting.

Ensuring election rules are applied fairly and consistently.

Reporting election results to the appropriate SGA bodies.
Honorarium
The successful applicant will receive a $500 honorarium.
Eligibility

Applicants must:

Be at least 18 years of age.

Be independent and impartial.
-
Not be a candidate in the By-Election or affiliated with any candidate.

Be available throughout the election period.
